Japan’s Hagiwara Sys-Com has introduced two USB flash memory devices called “Auto-run USB Flash Memory.” The interesting one is the “UD-Internet,” coming pre-loaded with Firefox and Thunderbird. That’s not exactly spectacular seeing as how you could just download Portable Firefox and Portable Thunderbird yourself and load it on any USB device, but it’s pleasing to see a major outfit like Hagiwara trying to Spread Firefox®. When the UD-Internet is connected to a PC, it will run a launcher to select your chosen software. For added convenience, all favorites, history and e-mails are stored right on the USB memory. Password protected, even.
