This is not a bad thing. If you’re a Sailor Moon fan, you know Usagi — at least early on in her career as a Sailor Scout — sounds like an immature girl who’s on the verge of crying at any given moment. Voice actress Stephanie Sheh nails it in Viz’s new English dub of the classic shojo anime.
This is, of course, for the remastered Blu-ray release of the original Sailor Moon series, not the new series Sailor Moon Crystal, although I would take a wild guess and say when Viz does release an English dub for Crystal the cast will be mostly (if not entirely) the same. At any rate, you’ll be able to hear the entire new cast in action when the first Sailor Moon Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD set comes out on November 11th.You can pre-order it here.
