Were he still alive today, I'm betting Van Gogh would have been happy he cut off his ear instead of his tongue so he could thorougly enjoy photographer Kelly McCollam's recreations of his works using salts, spices and food coloring.

From Starry Night to Mulberry Tree to Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers, not a single drop of paint was used—just savory ingredients including what looks to be potato chips recreating the moon in the night sky. Prints of her Spice of Life series are available through Shutterfly, which makes me wonder if I could have made any money off my Shirts Andrew Had to Throw Out series where I accidentally recreated the works of Jackson Pollock with chili on a bunch of tees.
