Robots named McSleepy and DaVinci, I might add. I’m not sure I’d trust them with anything other than bed-making and painting, but one chap agreed to go under the knife in the world’s first robotic surgery.

Fame has been thrown upon the Canadian McGill University Health Centre for this dangerous feat, though you’ll be pleased to hear all went well when tackling the patient’s erm, tackle. McSleepy put the patient to sleep, and DaVinci performed on him, with real-life human surgeons watching (and controlling its arms) from a distance in case they broke one of Asimov’s rules. Or started performing rhinoplasty instead. [Popsci via GearFuse]
