The Penmawashi was designed by Hideki, the reigning pen twirling champion of the world. If you are thinking "there's a pen twirling champion?"—I'm with you. Yes there is, and apparently he is so cool that he doesn't even need a last name. Still, Hideki knows his stuff, and he has put his years of experience into a pen so perfectly balanced even a dwarf with fat hands could use it. Plus, it has flashing LED lights that are sure to annoy everyone around you. Available in cyber, sonic, metal, science, beat, and sport styles—whatever that means. UPDATE: Apparently there is an American version called SpinZ coming out this month. Hit the jump for more info.
The folks behind the SpinZ line of pens are attempting to bring the pen spinning phenomenon that is sweeping across Europe (?) to the US with three new offerings for anyone interested in getting involved with this "sport."

@Juggle Sticks: You have met your match.
Pen twirling champion. Well, I am the book twirling champion. WTF. When did twirling a pen = champion? Twirling pen = Useless talent
So long as it is properly weighted so when I take it from Hideki's dazzling jazz handed display, I can wing it far out into the nearest body of water, to watch it sink while I chortle to myself.
Do they have one that has flames at the ends?
Since when have useless talents *not* had champions?
I can't read the pages dang it! where can I order one!?
Can the Will Farrel movie be far behind?
"Yeah, I'll take 'beat' style...yeah, so I can 'beat' the crap out of you with it for coming up with this nonsense."
Oiy vey........
Anyone remember "Click Clacks" or "Clackers"?
This will surely go the way of the clackers, without all the pesky broken wrists and bruised forearms…..
... does it write?
Before the jump, the image reads "enmawash". I was totally expecting a high powered colon washer. I guess a perfectly ballanced light-bejeweled pen is cool too...I guess.
Is there an island to send pen-twirlers and cup-stackers?
@someToast: We have to find a new one. The one we were using is full of milkcaps and pet rocks.
you tube never fails to amaze me!
+ Watch video
@fuzzylollipop: Madness.
Part of me wishes I could do that to distract people during class and meetings.
Another part of me can't help but think it's a waste of advanced and opposable digits.
The human hand is amazing! Most people don't know that the hand qualifies as a precision instrument capable of making adjustments of 1/10,000 of an inch!
@fuzzylollipop: Thank you for the pointer, sir. Sweet.
Wow.
I know some cup stackers that would be PERFECT for these guys.
This is one of those things I REALLY cherish my ignorance of.
This is so nerdy it's almost a parody of itself. That said...I like nice pens and at under ten bucks the first two aren't bad.
don't you guys know? pen twirling is huge in asia. everyone and their mother does it.
Those special pens end up looking like miniature batons. lame.
Pen twirling has been around for a while. It's also not hard to learn. Taught myself some of the basic stuff during the span of one class period in middle school (so so long ago).
@fuzzylollipop: I don't know which is more awesome: Watching the pen twirling video, or learning that Koreans listen to an Italian version of DragonForce. Thanks!
