Looks like the fellows at Gamestop let the pricing for Nintendo's Wii Wheel slip, and $14.99 is the price you'll be paying for each friend you have over on Mario Kart Wii day, (April 27th.) The game will retail at $49.99, which includes one Wii Wheel to boot, but for multiplayer mayhem, you're going to have to fork out that little bit more. Friends suck...not in a good way. Jump to see a blown up shot of the flier with the figures. [Gamestop; Thanks, David W]

"Friends suck...not in a good way" LOL
The have similar wheels for cheaper on dealextreme
DO I really have to correct a "professional" blogger on grammatical errors?
The grammar nazis are going to have a field day.
Haha, thanks for fixing it - sorry if I came off a bit harsh.
$14.99 pales compared to the approximately ten times that Fry's Electronics is marking up the Wii today. I finally found a store with some Wii consoles in stock (Fry's Electronics in Campbell), but they are sleazily requiring customers to purchase them in $400 bundles that include unwanted games and accessories that probably aren't selling much on their own.
Lest we forget, the Wii Wheel is a simple shell for your Wii Remote. It's not a peripheral, and it's not necessary to play Mario Kart.
I highly doubt I'll even use the one that comes with the game.
I'd recommend anyone considering buying extras to wait and test the bundled one first, before plunking down $15 for more hunks o' plastic.
@Brian Sexton: That's how we make money on ebay...
Fry's has always been doing that. Since like December 2006.
If this wheel *must* come with the game, then so be it, I guess. My daughter will probably have fun with it. I find the nunchuck to be far more responsive on racing games than any gimmicky "turn the Wiimote like you're turning the wheel".
@SuppleMonkey: RTFA (Read The F**king Advertisement). It clearly says "Racing Wheel Included" with the game and that the wheel is "Also Sold Separately". This correlates to other advertisements that show a larger-than-normal box for the game...unfortunately.
@WidescreenJohn: Are you a tard? can you even read what supplemonkey's comment says? how about you learn to f**king read yourself before say anything
@pizzlepaps: My thoughts exactly. :-)
You're right, my friends aren't worth $14.99. They'll just have to stick their wiimote onto something wide and pretend it's a wheel.
Im gonna end up using my Wavebird for this game anyway so screw that $14.99 chunk of plastic
Dealextreme.com has them for 5 bucks... (Unless you want the deluxe version with a desk stand.... 12 bucks)

@dufus: Are they selling Lead tested stuff?
