Government entities need to get rid of excess junk too, and they often do it through a site called GovDeals.com. It’s like Ebay for the federally-funded set. For the next hour, there’s an auction going on for a lot of 40 Gerber knives. The current price is $276—a mere $7 a knife.

Auctions like this are usually as-is, and this lot is no different. In fact, despite its title, some of the knives might not be even Gerber at all. From the auction page:

**NAMES OR BRANDS ARE LISTED AS MARKED OR AS THEY MAY APPEAR, WE MAKE NO CLAIMS OF AUTHENTICITY**

After you pay shipping and a 7.5% transaction fee, you’ll have six pounds of pocket knives heading to your door. Just make sure they’re the right size before you try to take them on a plane—or you could end up seeing them on GovDeals again very soon. [GovDeals via DoobyBrain]
