According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple is exploring making digital glasses:
Apple has talked about its glasses project with potential suppliers, according to people familiar with those discussions. The company has ordered small quantities of near-eye displays from one supplier for testing, the people said. Apple hasn’t ordered enough components so far to indicate imminent mass-production, one of the people added.
If this whole thing pans out, the device would be released in 2018 at the earliest. When Google tried to make digital glasses, it didn’t go great. People who wore the product got assaulted. In January, Google scrubbed evidence of its existence off its site.

If Apple does make its own digital glasses, perhaps it won’t share the same fate as the Google product. After all, the company does think different.
