Brando's Chicken, Pork, Pizza and Watermelon USB Drives Are Phenomenally Delicious

It's been a while since Solid Alliance charmed us with their food-shaped USB drives, but Brando's shot back with edible-looking disks of their own. At our count, there's chicken, hot wings, a slab of pork, a pizza slice, a burger, a watermelon slice, a strawberry, cookies and biscuits—all lifelike enough that your kid would accidentally put it in his mouth. Best of all, these hold 4GB worth of junk and cost only $28. Has anyone made a bacon USB drive yet? Huge gallery after the jump. More »

Greatest Fast Food Invention Yet: Col-Pop Holds Your Soda and Your Chicken Nuggets

This has to be the best thing in fast food convenience since the freakin' straw: A cup that holds your chicken nuggets AND your soda. Nuggets on top, soda on bottom—hand to nugget, straw to face. AT THE SAME TIME. Amazing. More »

Afternoon News: Poop-Sniffing, Pancake-Eating, Vegas-Going Spammers

• A Purdue professor is paying students $30 to sniff animal poop and using the research to improve estimations of odor emissions on farms. It's days like this that I am happy I went to Indiana University. [11alive]
• Dealzmodo: All-you-can-eat pancakes at IHOP?! Why am I still sitting here? [Dealnews via BBG]
• Alan Ralsky, a notorious spammer from West Bloomfield, MI (sort of my home town!) was indicted yesterday on 41 charges of swindling millions of dollars by using penny stock scam emails. Good riddance. [Detroit Free Press]
• Did we mention we're going to Vegas? The weather doesn't look great, but just about anything beats another day in frigid New York City. [Weather Underground]

Fake Robot Walker Offers Superficial AT-ST Pleasure

Definite props for the hydraulic pump legs, but we're taking points off for the plunging neckline. We just wanna see the faux robot stompage, not your lily white chest, dude. Check out how to build your own "steampunk chicken-walker mech" here. [via MAKE via BoingBoing]

Whazatt Chicken Foot Drive, WhazTF?

I was just sitting here thinking that what I really need is a flash drive that looks like a chicken foot and damned if one doesn't show up. Whazatt has a suitably weird flash drive sporting 1GB of flash storage inside and taking the form of a chicken foot that could have come right off the set of Prison Break. More »

Frank Goes Subservient Chicken and Plays With USB Gadgets

Instead of making a chicken dance around by typing in commands, this Frank's Cubicle website has you making Frank play with all his USB gear by clicking on links. It's interesting for a few minutes, especially when you see what he's been looking at with his Spyplane. Makes us wish we had a bunch of USB gadgets to play with ourselves. Oh wait, we do. Hoverboards Make Us Fart A Little With Excitement

It is a well-known fact that if the hover board from Back to the Future ever floated into existence, geeks the World over would forget their sexual frustrations for at least seven weeks. Here is a run down of where we stand at the moment—the Hoverboard by Future Horizons and the Airboard by Alura Intelligent Products, modeled by the above hoverboard honeys. More »

Hands-On Japan's Sega Robot Chicken

Lisa brought me back one of Sega's highly coveted robot chicks, modeled physically and behaviorally after a 1-week old chicken. The bird has a light and touch sensor, and responds to petting. When I say respond, it's just different crying sounds, with the occasional wing flap. What's insane is that this thing is like $40. Might be better to hatch an egg and then at least a few months later, you can deep fry Clucky. If you want to hear what it sounds and looks like in action, there's a video after the jump:

Television Microwave Makes More Sense Than Rock Lobsters

By combining two random words, you can either get a semi-successful pop song or an appliance that kind of makes sense. This Holland Electric microwave features a TV on the front, which means you can either entertain yourself or make sure your food's not burning—but not both. More »
