Nostalgia is riding high in Hollywood right now, but there’s particular pressure on Practical Magic 2. If the movie doesn’t meet expectations, the expansive coven of people obsessed with the 1998 original, now a Halloween staple, will gather their brooms and seek retribution.

Fortunately, this first teaser from the sequel suggests Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, and company are on the right track; we’ve got candles, teacups stirring themselves, wisecracks, curses, wisecracks about curses (“not great for the Tinder bio”), some familiar music, and multiple generations of witches being the cozy family of outcasts we know them to be.

Oh, and that glorious multi-story Practical Magic house is still in full effect. Fire up the blender and feast your eyes:

Obviously Kidman and Bullock are back as Gillian and Sally Owens, as are Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest as their aunts. Sally’s daughters are now played by Joey King and Maisie Williams, and while this teaser has plenty of Lee Pace to gaze upon, we still have no idea what character he’s playing.

The rest of the cast includes Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod; the movie arrives in theaters this September.
