Amazon’s Deal of the Day is a belter: its already competitively priced 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD can be had for $50 less than the usual selling price. Does that mean sales have been slower than expected? Who cares! It’s cheap tabletry for you and yours.
The sale applies to all of Amazon’s larger Kindle Fires (Wi-Fi only and 4g, 16-64GB), which usually starts at $300, but is going for $250 today. When we reviewed it lat month, we said:
The size and build are pretty close to ideal. It doesn’t reach the high points of an iPad or Nexus 10, but it’s a solid piece of gear at a super low (starting) price.
With that super low price axed by $50 across the board, today it’s looking like an incredibly good deal. Amazon has announced that quantities are limited, though, so you better dive in there real quick if you’re interested. [Amazon]
