Looking as gorgeous as Drew Struzan's Super 8 poster, this new batch of concept art images shows J.J. Abrams' early vision for his creature feature (and reveals a few things that changed along the way).
Minor spoilers ahead...
Drawn by Jamie Rama, a wonderful artist who we've highlighted before for his work on X-Men: First Class, these images appear to show a different kind of box car where the creature was being held (with some sort of creepy viewing glass perhaps?). But what really hits home, for me, are the 70s homes. I love a good dinner table scene (and Spielberg excelled at those moments) the concept art transport me right back to the infamous ET and Close Encounter dinner-table scenes.
