Hosting Plans, Pricing & Features Breakdown
By far the biggest difference between WPX Hosting and Hostinger will be seen in the first comparison. As you likely know, WPX has a reputation for being costly — Hostinger, not so much. They also structure their pricing plans a bit differently. As such, WPX offers WooCommerce and WordPress plans.
Both are shared hosting plans — no option to choose cloud, VPS, dedicated servers, etc.
Hostinger offers managed WordPress in all plans, that simultaneously support WooCommerce. Apart from web hosting, you can also opt for VPS and cloud hosting. This results in a little more variety, which ultimately results in Hostinger being more versatile.
Pricing Plans Comparison
Let’s examine their pricing plans. Hostinger starts at $2.99/mo for the Premium plan, but since it’s so affordable, the Business plan at $3.99/mo is the best value.
I mean, it’s Hostinger’s best overall web hosting plan that includes a free domain for a year, 50 websites, managed WordPress, free CDN, etc. More about that soon.
Get the Best Price on Hostinger

In addition, Hostinger promotes its Cloud Startup plan at a meager $7.99/mo. Cloud hosting is faster than web hosting in most cases. Thus, the price of well under ten bucks a month is indeed enticing. We also have VPS plans that start at just $4.99/mo for the KVM 1 plan.

The KVM 8 plan, which packs the most punch, is $19.99/mo for 8 vCPU cores, 32 GB RAM, 32 TB bandwidth, and much more.
WPX Hosting starts at a huge $20.83/mo for the Business plan. Plans scale up by resources, so if you need more sites, RAM, storage, and bandwidth, you’ll splurge $41.58/mo on the Professional plan. Or the Elite plan at a gigantic $83.25/mo if you have a thick wallet.

What about WooCommerce hosting?
You can start selling on the internet for “just” $29.17/mo for the Powerstore plan. Move up the ladder and you’ll arrive at the Superstore plan at $62.50/mo. Go even one step up and there’s the Hyperstore plan at $125/mo. WPX Hosting’s prices are not for the faint-hearted.

Simultaneously, the provider did its best to cram in tons of features to help you create, manage, and improve your website down the line.
WPX Hosting vs Hostinger Features
Speaking of features, we’ll address the most important ones. As silly as it sounds, Hostinger’s multiple-times-cheaper price doesn’t render it worse. If we’re being honest, and we are, Hostinger even offers a few things that WPX Hosting lacks. Here’s a quick comparison:
- Free domain for a year + WHOIS privacy is only found in Hostinger.
- Hostinger hosts 25 to 100 sites, while WPX hosts from 1 to 35.
- Hostinger offers unlimited bandwidth in all plans, while WPX has it in select plans only.
- WPX works only with WordPress/WooCommerce, while Hostinger adds an AI website builder on top.
- WPX uses only SSD storage — Hostinger offers NVMe storage in the Business plan.
- Hostinger offers weekly backups in the Premium plan. WPX has daily backups in all plans.
- Hostinger has roughly 10 data center locations, while WPX has only 3 (US, UK, AU)
- Both providers use LiteSpeed servers with LiteSpeed caching.
- Staging is in Hostinger’s Business plan. In WPX, it’s in every subscription plan.
- WPX offers unlimited email hosting. Hostinger gives you a free trial for a year.
- A free in-house CDN is in Hostinger’s Business plan. WPX offers its XDN in all plans.

From this vehement exchange of punches, you can see they’re heavy hitters. Keep in mind that Hostinger costs multiple times less, yet, it comfortably stands shoulder-to-shoulder with WPX. A free domain, WHOIS privacy, NVMe storage, an AI site builder, and so much more.

You won’t find these features in WPX. On the other hand, WPX doesn’t use this tiered approach. Instead, all plans have the same features, with the only difference being the amount of dedicated computing resources, i.e., storage, RAM, bandwidth, and so on.
Most importantly, at this price, Hostinger doesn’t lack WordPress and WooCommerce support. This means you don’t need to squander your fortune to make a website with WordPress.
Winner: Hostinger
Hostinger is easily the best-value hosting service you can get your hands on. It’s crazy what it managed to include at bottom-shelf prices, and more importantly, surpass WPX on more than a few occasions. If your choice boils down to Hostinger, we strongly advise snatching the Business plan.
However, even its VPS and cloud plans are unexpectedly affordable if you need outstanding speed, stability, and a supply of powerful computing resources.
WPX Hosting vs Hostinger Performance Comparison
Which web hosting is faster? To determine the winner, we chose their mid-range plans.
For Hostinger, we opted for the Business plan, while on WPX, we spent a bit more on the Professional plan. After that, we made two identical WordPress websites using the Astra theme. It’s minimalistic, but in our experience, snappy, responsive, and pretty versatile.
This allowed us to include a hefty blog section with ample compressed JPEG and even PNG images, some interactive parts, and much more. Before we made our websites, we had to choose our hosting location. Hostinger offers 10 of them — many are in the United States.
Since WPX also has US servers (Chicago), we hosted our websites in the US, too.
Our Hostinger vs WPX Hosting tests were performed with GTmetrix for page-loading parameters and Pingdom, where we observed their uptimes and average response times.
GTmetrix Speed Test Comparison
Let’s begin with GTmetrix. It’ll tell us how fast WPX and Hostinger are.
While our websites were hosted in the US, our testing location in GTmetrix was Canada (Vancouver). It’s a location available in the free GTmetrix plan, so if you want to replicate our test, you can do so without paying.
As for the parameters, we usually observe five — TTFB, FCP, LCP, CLS, and FLT. We’ll explain what they are as we move on. Speaking of moving on, our WPX Hosting vs Hostinger speed test results are ready — look lively:
| Hostinger | WPX Hosting | |
| Time to First Byte — TTFB | 291 ms | 355 ms |
| First Contentful Paint — FCP | 294 ms | 523 ms |
| Largest Contentful Paint — LCP | 533 ms | 1.1 s |
| Cumulative Layout Shift — CLS | 0.02 | 0.02 |
| Fully Loaded Time — FLT | 733 ms | 1.1 s |
Both providers are impressively fast, with loading times far below, or above the standard, depending on how you look at them. When we compared Hostinger to GoDaddy, the former was way faster. However, this test also favors Hostinger who displayed a brutal performance.
With a FLT or Fully Loaded Time of 733 ms, it’s way below the 2-second standard. TTFB or Time to First Byte is only 257 ms in Hostinger, although WPX’s 355 ms isn’t bad. This parameter indicates how responsive the server is. Ideally, it should be under 800 ms.
Overall, the results are spot on, but Hostinger emerged as a faster web hosting overall.
Uptime Analysis & Response Times
Okay, so both providers promise a 99.9% uptime, but do they achieve it?
The answer is a loud and clear yes. We tested them for outages and downtimes in the past three months, as always. WPX came back with an impressive 100% result, which indicated no outages and notable downtimes. This might be a coincidence, but that’s what we got.
From our experience, WPX Hosting is overly dependable, and if outages emerge, they’re usually very short.
Hostinger’s Pingdom test showed virtually the same result — a 100% uptime. LiteSpeed in both providers does an exceptional job of providing not only fast speed but overall reliability. We have no doubt both providers go “down” from time to time, but they’re lucky we haven’t found any loopholes in our tests.
Pingdom also helped us gauge their average response times, which were:
- 376 ms for WPX Hosting;
- 348 ms for Hostinger.
Average response times were nearly on par. While Hostinger was a speck quicker, we failed to detect a difference in practice. It’s nice to know that neither has sudden high response time spikes, indicating stable server performance, with no pronounced hang-ups.
Winner: Hostinger
Both fought bravely and performed like gladiators. Sadly for WPX Hosting, Hostinger snatched the round by taking primarily GTmetrix tests and being on par, and slightly better in the average response time later on. Generally, whichever you choose, you’ll rarely be disappointed by this aspect.
Which Hosting Provider is Easier to Use?
Hostinger leverages its in-house hPanel and WPX is unique enough to have its own environment. We love that Hostinger offers cPanel hosting if you’re hell-bent on it, while WPX sticks to its tried-and-tested formula without remorse. So, which one is simpler to use?
We’d say both are equally simple to navigate, but Hostinger looks so much sleeker. Look at this boy:

The home page is stuffed with cleverly delivered information about your PageSpeed insights, security, improvement tips, etc. Above is the quick access menu for accessing your hosting parameters, domains, backups, and more. You’ll find all the options on the left side.
hPanel is designed to be responsive and intuitive, so even beginners will enjoy it. Plus, there’s a neat purple button that allows you to access your WordPress as an administrator and perform routine updates, optimization, and so on. Now, let’s examine WPX Hosting:

It looks like a fruit juice, with all the colors sparkling around. However, it’s equally intuitive, except for a few quirks. For instance, you have to apply your Let’s Encrypt SSL manually, but that’s performed in a click. Other than that, WPX excels in functionality in every way.
The left-hand side menu holds all you need. Click on Backups and you’ll be able to request a backup copy of the website. Click on Manage Websites and you can create staging copies, apply an SSL, or install WordPress. WPX Hosting doesn’t resemble any other panel, though.
That can be seen in our WPX vs SiteGround duel where we compared them from a WordPress standpoint.
Website Building With Hostinger and WPX
Building a website through WPX is possible only through WordPress; great if you want that in the first place. Installing WordPress takes a measly few minutes. Slap on a theme and do your magic — by the way, don’t forget to apply your free SSL to sidestep ugly consequences.
Hostinger’s WordPress setup is equally simple. Once you choose your CRM, and by the way, there’s WooCommerce, as well, you can install it by following the steps on the screen. However, if you’re not a fan of WordPress or simply don’t know how to use it properly, here’s a kicker.
You can use Hostinger Website Builder instead!

This AI-backed website builder meticulously guides you through the setup process and allows you to build a website without coding in no time. Thanks to AI, you can even describe the website you want and let Hostinger take care of it. That’s another feature inexperienced website owners will love.
Winner: Hostinger
This round was a close call, but we had to choose Hostinger because it looks nicer and is very intuitive. Hostinger Website Builder adds ample variety to the formula, as it allows for no-code, AI-powered website building that beginners will find refreshing. With everything said, Hostinger is our go-to.
Which Web Hosting is More Secure?
Security-conscious users know how important it is to keep their websites nice and tight.
The best way to do that is to rely on the best web hosting provider that doesn’t skimp on security features, no matter the chosen plan. Luckily, both options have some serious firepower and offer premium-grade security tools to keep nasties miles away — awesome.
Here’s what WPX offers in all plans:
- Daily and on-demand backups
- Free malware scans
- WHOIS privacy on WPX-bought domains
- Free SSL certificate
- Managed WAF
- Hybrid (enterprise-level) DDoS protection
- Two-Factor Authentication
- Brute-Force Protection
- Advanced Account Security
WPX is choke-full of features and one of the best security-oriented web hosts. Examine the list again and you’ll see top-tier DDoS protection, daily malware scans, and even advanced account security, which limits access to the owner’s account on the hardware level.
Hostinger’s security features list is as follows:
- Standard DDoS protection
- Weekly, daily, and on-demand backups
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Free malware scanner
- WHOIS privacy + free domain
- Secure access manager
- Cloudflare DNS firewall
- Free SSL certificate
- Two-Factor Authentication
The list is, more or less, identical, with just a few differences. WPX uses more capable DDoS protection that also includes bot protection. However, Hostinger comes with WHOIS privacy on its free domain and a secure access manager for multi-user environments where user privileges can be assigned.
Its Cloudflare DNS firewall also protects your website from DDoS and other forms of attacks by absorbing the attack and preventing damage to the website. Finally, WPX has daily backups in all plans, while Hostinger’s Premium plan is limited to weekly backups only.
This isn’t something to be mad about because the price difference between this and the next plan (Business) is only $1/mo. Pay that “much” and you’ll get your daily + on-demand backup copies.
Winner: Tie
When you have two security giants battling it out and shedding their blood, it’s hard to pick out the winner. They’re equally secure but bear in mind that Hostinger is multiple times less expensive as well, so we’d like to praise it for what it managed to achieve at such a silly cost.
Customer Support
WPX Hosting has two means of support:
- Live chat
- Ticketing system
- Knowledge base
The former is far better, as the support team catches up to your request without hesitation. The support team is friendly, and above all, helpful, so even complex problems will see their resolution quickly. Best of all — it’s available 24/7, making it easier to get in touch.

Their ticketing system is okay, but that’s built for less urgent and/or more complex problems that require a thorough examination. Its knowledge base is filled with a myriad of information about the setup, troubleshooting, navigating the interface, and so on.
Hostinger’s support consists of:
- Kodee (AI chatbot)
- Live chat
- Knowledge base
Kodee is the first line of support. It’s a chatbot that works fairly well, with a few occasional misunderstanding moments. Luckily, you can quickly switch to a human representative and explain the problem. If you’re not chatty, its knowledge base will surely help you out.

With ample articles and tutorials on everything under the Sun, you’ll surely find the solution to what bothers you. It’s also great that Hostinger provides support for “dedicated” hosting solutions. For instance, it’ll help you set up your n8n VPS hosting or perform off-site backups in its Minecraft hosting plans.
Winner: Tie
With a great experience on both sides, Hostinger and WPX Hosting again ended up in a stalemate. Their support teams are exceptional and available 24/7 to tackle your simple and complex issues.
Conclusion: We Prefer Hostinger Over WPX Hosting
In conclusion to our Hostinger vs WPX Hosting duel, our team of experts has agreed that Hostinger makes more sense than WPX Hosting in most cases.
First of all, it’s less expensive, so if you lack a flexible budget, Hostinger will be the right choice, especially with our exclusive Hostinger coupon code.
At the price, Hostinger offers nearly everything you get in WPX Hosting — and more. In our tests, it was faster, with a more vibrant, modern-looking interface. While WPX excels in enterprise-grade security, Hostinger does include hefty tools like a free domain, WHOIS privacy, malware protection, and a strong firewall.
With the in-house website builder, Hostinger can compete not only with web hosts but also with the best website builders. As a whole, Hostinger costs less and is simultaneously a more fulfilling package that’s equally good, if not better for WordPress and WooCommerce sites.
