The best learning is, as any parent knows, through play. Academics at Camrbridge University agree: they’ve just received funding to recruit a Lego professorship of play in education, development and learning.

The University’s Faculty of Education has will receive a total of $6 million in funding from the Lego Foundation which in part will help support a Research Centre on Play in Education, Development, and Learning. Part of the funding will be directed into funding a Lego professorship who will work at the new center. The University claims that more details about the research and the post itself will be revealed after various internal meetings are held during October. Until then, perhaps it’s time to polish up your resume in preparation? [Telegraph]
