What is it with killjoys? Every major holiday celebration—be it fireworks for 4th of July, turkey frying at Thanksgiving, or alligator wrestling on President’s Day—seems to draw out finger-wagers and their shrill cries of “You’ll shoot your eye out!” Case in point: this ominous tweet from the DHS.
Yes, we get it—partially frozen turkeys could/probably will explode if you try to deep fry them. Is that really necessary to remind us—yet again—even going so far as to bring the FEMA department of Fire Safety in for the video? I mean, if William Shatner can safely deep fry a turkey, any idio—oh, he did what now? [Washington Examiner]
