I always have the sneaking suspicion, as I’m trudging from store to store doing my holiday shopping, that everything I’m buying is probably a lot cheaper on Amazon. With Price Check, their new iPhone app, my suspicions are confirmed!
Price Check, a free app for the iPhone, lets shoppers quickly peep Amazon’s price for products by scanning barcodes, snapping photos, dictating an item’s name, or just typing it in (for the old fashioned types). From there you can buy products straight away, add them to your shopping cart, or ignore the $3 savings you’d get by buying the Girl With the Dragon Tatttoo trilogy online and just snatch it up then and there in the Barnes and Noble you’re standing in. Think of it as a ‘real life shopping’ tax. [Amazon]
