Facebook is introducing Amber Alerts into its desktop and mobile newsfeed, according to ablog post. Teaming up with the National Center of Exploited Children, Facebook’s alerts will show a picture of the missing child along with any information that is available. Local and state police will determine how wide the alert goes. So no, your feed won’t turn into a missing child database overnight. In fact, FB says many users may never see alerts at all.
