Japanese government and hospital workers conducted the study, which found radioactive levels of up to 3 millisieverts residents’ urine up to 25 miles away from the reactor, stemming from both damaging cesium and iodine isotopes. “This won’t be a problem if they don’t eat vegetables or other products that are contaminated,” said a professor from Hiroshima University.
