Regular weekend readers may recall this image of a just-born Great Horned Owl poking its beak out of the nest. Well! Almost exactly month later, look how big that little guy/gal has gotten — and hey, look at all those siblings, too!

Once again, this photo is from Metzger Farm Open Space in Westminster and Broomfield, Colorado. Caption notes from photographer Jim Kennedy:

Four Great Horned Owl owlets are standing in a line in their nest. They appear to be ordered by age, with the youngest on the left and oldest on the right. The oldest owlet is probably about 38 to 42 days old.

The owlets tend to spend more time looking out on overcast days, like when this photo was taken.
