SpaceX's Drone Ship Is Ready and Waiting for Today's Landing Attempt

Floating in the Atlantic, Just Read the Instructions—SpaceX’s refurbished barge autonomous spaceport drone ship—is ready for today’s controlled reentry and targeted touchdown attempt of a Falcon 9 first stage, planned for 4:33pm ET.

Since the last attempt, which ended in a spectacular crash-landing, “the drone ship has been upgraded to tolerate more powerful ocean swells, however weather at the landing site is looking significantly better this time”, according to a fresh post on SpaceX’s Livestream page. You can tune in there to witness the CRS-6 launch—SpaceX’s sixth official Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission to the International Space Station—from Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The live launch webcast will begin at approximately 4:15pm EDT.
