So much news passes before our collective eyes every day that we couldn't possibly cover it all. Mostly because much of it isn't worth covering! But here are a some borderline tidbits we passed on, just in case.
Wim Delvoye stained and assembled these windows into a Flemish Baroque chapel built of laser cut steel. The images of teeth, skulls, full skeletons and various body parts are combined with real stained glass using traditional medieval production methods (and we can only assume laser cutting was among them). They're actually quite pretty until you realize what you're actually looking at. [Wim Delvoye via Inhabitat]
Leading with cries of "Won't someone think of the horses?" lobbying group NY-Class has proposed that the "inhumane" New York carriage industry be phased out in favor of Li-Ion powered electric cars that would resemble the model above. They'd cost $175,000 each to make and cost the drivers an extra six grand a year to lease. And how will Kramer feed it Beef-A-Reeno? [NYTimes]
There's nothing like a good, eleven-minute hair washing, amirite? This new noggin-cleansing automaton certainly takes its time, though I'm assuming it's s that it doesn't get...*ahem* over-enthusiastic with its duties and punch clean through your skull. I'm calling it now—this thing will be in the next Final Destination. [Technabob]
