Old Skool Device Indicates Whatever You Want, Looks Beautiful

Put this finely-crafted metering apparatus, formally named “The Device Patented Process Indicating Apparatus,” on your desktop and plug its USB cable into your PC, and then you can use its configuring software to choose whatever data you’d like depicted in its two meters, “Ethereal Glowing Tube” (EGT) and red light indicator.

Choose from a variety of properties for each indicator, such as unread e-mail backlog, commute time, keystrokes per minute, stock quotes, or even cooking time for your Thanksgiving turkey with the red light illuminating when it’s done.

It’s in the prototype stage and not a real product yet, but if we spread the word around, David Glicksman, its clever creator and witty website writer, vows to build it for all who wish to possess one. We would be first in line. C’mon everybody! Cheer him on!

Update: You may have seen this before—my bad, thanks for pointing that out, commenters—but hey, it’s so cool, could’t hurt to tell you about it again in hopes of drumming up some support for this guy.
