The tablet was reportedly pushed back from its original May estimate in order to trim the price down to $200, which puts it in direct competition with the Kindle Fire. Rumors have been heaped upon heaps of fetid rumor corpses for months about this thing, but if you were Google and you were going to announce a tablet, Google I/O is as logical a time and place as any. I like the Kindle Fire's form factor and physical size, but I always feel like the screen is just a little too small. I'd love to see a device with the same dimensions but housing a larger 8ish inch screen and a smaller bezel. It doesn't need to be a super tiny bezel, and maybe a full inch upgrade to the screen isn't practical (I haven't measured it), I'd just like to see about half of the bezel that's currently there replaced with usable screen.
