According to TechnoBuffalo, Google’s forthcoming cheap, 7-inch Nexus tablet will be announced at Google I/O, which starts June 27th. And, like, why wouldn’t it be?

The tablet was reportedly pushed back from its original May estimate in order to trim the price down to $200, which puts it in direct competition with the Kindle Fire. Rumors have been heaped upon heaps of fetid rumor corpses for months about this thing, but if you were Google and you were going to announce a tablet, Google I/O is as logical a time and place as any.
