It’s July 1, which means it’s right about the time that Halloween starts to trickle into retailers. If you feel the need to complain about that, well, Spirit Halloween is here to implant some horrifying new imagery into your nightmares. The seasonal superstore has just unveiled its 2026 animatronic line-up, and even if you don’t have a yard to display these gruesome new figures, you can still admire them from afar. Or hey, live dangerously and set one up in your living room.
You can check out the full collection here, including a blood-splattered Ghostface and a blood-dipped Pennywise, the latter an excellent rendition of how the character appeared at the end of It: Welcome to Derry. There’s also a 6-foot, 6-inch Michael Myers who can move his head and knife-wielding hand (slowwwwly, as the character is wont to do) while playing John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween theme. And don’t forget the life-sized Xenomorph the company revealed earlier this year on Alien Day, which stands two inches taller than Haddonfield’s boogeyman.
But as scary as those guys are, the Spirit Halloween originals are somehow even more unsettling. Here’s the full look at “Carnival Creeper,” because the top art cuts off his genuinely unnerving crouch and skeleton hands.
There’s also “Crackles,” a clown whose grinning face is creepy enough, but then it splits open to reveal something so much worse.
“This year’s collection introduces next-level technology designed to make every scare more immersive than ever,” explains a Spirit Halloween press release. “From conversation-response technology that listens and reacts in real time to Bluetooth-enabled audio control and outdoor ratings built to handle the weather, this year’s animatronics are designed to do more than perform. With coordinated LED lighting effects, dynamic motion, and immersive soundscapes, they react, engage, and transform any space into a fully interactive haunt experience.”
Most of the Halloween animatronics range in price from $150 to $350 (the previously announced Xenomorph is $450), and you can buy several of them now online or in-store when a Spirit inevitably opens for its annual stint in the nearest vacant big-box store. Here’s a peek at some of the other animatronics on tap for the season, including a rabid “Trash Bandit” and a parent-child duo that’s already dressed for the end times.
