The Kids in This Billboard Point at Actual Planes Flying Overhead

In an attempt to entice more people to travel on its airline, British Airways has created a couple of digital billboards to promote its 'Magic of Flying' campaign where footage of children pointing at actual planes flying overhead is displayed. The only problem is that's actually a little creepy.

The advertisements use readily available GPS, and flight tracking information to also display the name of the flight and where it's headed, in hopes that people seeing the ads will get jealous and book a trip to an exotic locale too. And while there are plenty of freely available apps that let you track planes in the sky, this application still comes across as a bit unsettling. Everyone knows that pointing is just the first step for sentient giant children. It's only a matter of time before they come out of the billboard and start wreaking adorable havoc on our streets.
