We’ve already seen last month’s launch of the Discovery from the perspective of an airplane and a high-atmosphere balloon. Now check out this awe-inspiring 30-minute video captured from Discovery’s twin solid rocket boosters.

The video begins on the ground, captures some gorgeous footage of the Earth’s surface, and then opens its parachutes for splashdown. It’s mute for most of the launch, but be forewarned — the sound turns on approximately 15 minutes in.
