This is one of those wonderful “I’ll never take that for granted again” videos. Graphic design firm DKNG Studios put up this super-speed video of the process behind their latest work—the bajillion tiny steps will blow your mind.
The project, a concert poster for Gizmodo-approved Explosions In The Sky, shows just how much minute detail and extraordinary planning go into a single digital image, from hand-sketching to intricate finishing touches onscreen. If you lose focus, the whole labor seems like a blur of tweaks, toggles, and pastes. And, I think it’s safe to say, the creation of the thing is just as beautiful as the thing itself.
