Avengers 3 and 4
Now that we know that Captain America 3 is going to feature Iron Man (and involve some kind of Civil War-style conflict between Steve and Tony), we're starting to hear more about the movies that follow Cap 3. Sources tell Badass Digest that the Russo brothers (who directed Cap 2 and will direct Cap 3) are in talks to direct Avengers 3 — and quite possibly Avengers 4 as well.
Also, rumor has it Cap 3 will feature Cap's new team of Avengers, who will be revealed in an as-yet-unfilmed scene at the end of Avengers 2. Currently, the tentative lineup is Falcon, War Machine, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow. Plus probably the Vision. And Cap 3 will leave the Marvel heroes "scattered and defeated," a state of affairs that will continue in Avengers 3 and leave Earth vulnerable to an attack by Thanos in Avengers 4 or some other giant team-up film. As always, grains of salt. [Badass Digest]
Doctor Strange
Here's what's supposedly the current shortlist for the title role: Jared Leto (said to be aggressively lobbying for it), Oscar Isaac, Matthew McConaughey, Ewan McGregor, Jake Gyllenhaal (said to be interested after doing dark dramas), and Ethan Hawke. [Variety]
Ghostbusters
Now that the idea of rebooting Ghostbusters is picking up steam, Sony is said to be aggressively courting Bill Murray to return for "either a cameo or supporting role." Talking to Variety, Murray says "The studio gets really crazy about it," and emphasized that he's not that interested in reprising an old role. But Murray also "left the door open — by a hair," as Variety puts it, hinting that he might consider doing another Ghostbusters if the idea felt fresh. [Variety]
Gambit
Channing Tatum spoke to MTV about the film, saying that they're currently looking for a writer and want to introduce the character in a new way. [MTV]

The clip apparently depicted the relationship between the boy and his "figment," and conveyed "wonder and imagination." [Deadline]

Arrow
It sure sounds like Laurel's being positioned into Black Canary territory, since Katie Cassidy's started training and is doing some fighting this season. Said Cassidy:
I actually had this conversation with our producers this week, Marc [Guggenheim] and Andrew [Kreisberg]. I am proud to say that in a scene — I can't tell you which one — you'll see Laurel training, and they didn't have to use my stunt double, because I worked really hard at what I was doing. I wanted it to be legitimate, I wanted it to be me. So they let me do it. And aside from that, I literally just texted my producer to tell him that I was able to do something — I can't tell you what, exactly — and he was like, "No way!" My response was, "The Arrow's got nothin' on me!" [Laughs] It's crazy.
[TV Line]
She also talked about Laurel'ss upcoming arc with Ted Grant:
At first they butt heads, but at the end of the day, Ted really sees the warrior in Laurel and sees that she's a fighter. I've been boxing and training and I'm so excited and having a blast getting to be able to do that. He sees that she has the spirit and the drive. She has it in her. He embraces it and encourages it. As long as she does it the correct way and learn the basics and doesn't just go lashing out, he's very supportive. The relationship between the two of them is great. I think there's a good dynamic there.
Is he also a love interest for her?
As far as exploring that aspect of it, I don't want to say they've gotten to that point, but Laurel has an amazing arc. I'm very excited about it and I wouldn't be surprised if the writers started that. J.R. is wonderful and is a great actor and has been a pleasure to work with.'
Brandon Routh explained a but about Ray Palmer's history in Arrow:
I can say he's been a resident of Starling City for some time. He's just been doing Palmer Industries, his own thing, and has been outside the world of "Arrow" to this point.
Having immersed yourself in the comic books, what Atom touchstones are you looking forward to the series incorporating?
It's hard to answer that question because things change from what the lore of a comic book character's history is to the way it's seen on screen. I don't know what I can expect fully at this point. The main thing everybody knows from him is the ability to shrink to an atomic level. That is something that sounds crazy, but would be cool to see. When that happens, I don't know as Marc and Andrew have both been cagey and mysterious. That is something I look forward to — and all the cool things he can do with an ability like that.
And then what I get to do on a daily basis is use his wit as a scientist and inventor and just have a lot of energy and fun. He has a big engine going, and has creativity and ingenuity, and that seeps through everything in his life. The one thing I can't wait to see is how that passion and exuberance transfers to being a superhero. Superman was very stoic and after he saved somebody, he would tell a joke and fly away. But, he was always very restrained. "I'm here to save the day." Whereas Ray could be wisecracking or joking or telling you about the latest computer while he saves you.
Doctor Who
At Mipcom, Steven Moffatt talked about the "absurd" nature of the show, saying:
Obviously we go hell-for-leather on the sci-fi fantasy aspect of Doctor Who because the main character lives in a telephone box that's bigger on the inside and travels in time and can change his face whenever he's ill – or the actor asks for a pay rise… The show has to match up to that. You can't just introduce a character like that and then just have him teach in a school. It wouldn't really work, would it? ... while it is fantastic and absurd and preposterous and mad, emotionally it's quite grounded. It is frequently the intimate moments that make it connect with its audience.

Wayward Pines
At the same panel, M. Night Shyamalan said that he was drawn into television by the humor in Wayward Pines. He explained that he was intimidated by TV, saying:
It's very scary to me what you guys do. Since I was a teenager I've been making movies. I know how to do a two-hour (film) and in my head I can time it. In my head it becomes a mathematical thing. Sixth Sense is 107 minutes, Unbreakable is 107 minutes, Signs is 107 minutes, The Village is 107 minutes. This is completely new math for me. I was terrified so I said no a lot. Any excuse to not do it. I was looking and this came as a pilot and I read it at night and closed it and I was like 'as long as everyone isn't dead, I'm very interested.'

Agents of SHIELD
Ming-Na Wen refused to answer if Agent 33 survived and returned to Hydra with the information that Coulson's in charge and where the SHIELD remnant is based, saying that it was left unclear on purpose. She also said that she hasn't yet gotten the script for the episode that goes into Melinda May's background. She did say that she hasn't yet filmed any scenes with Brett Dalton (Ward):
He definitely had ulterior motives that even May couldn't fathom. I showed him my distaste for it in the [first season finale], but I would love for us to have another scene together. This season, in particular, Brett [Dalton] and I haven't had a chance to work together at all. In a way, we keep joking with each other, like, "Oh hi, what show are you on?" This year has been a bit strange.

The Walking Dead
Alexandra Breckenridge will recur in season five, with the chance to become a regular in season 6. The character is currently being described as "Samantha, an attractive, strong, smart, charming and articulate woman who also has a vulnerable side. She's a mother with a bohemian spirit, and a talented artist." But, there's every chance that this is a smokescreen to hide whatever comics analogue she turns out to be. [Deadline]
The Flash
Jesse L. Martin hinted that you may meet his wife and Iris' mother soon, saying n the line. "She may resurface at some point. She's definitely a missing link." In the same interview. EP Andrew Kreisberg added that keeping Barry's secret is going to be a major problem with Iris:
It's going to create all sorts of problems because Joe wants Iris not to know more than anything in the world and Barry is dying to tell her. It's going to lead to some heartbreaking things that happen early on and also some hilariously funny things.

Westworld
HBO's pilot was referenced a lot by HBO's Chairman and Time Warner's CEO at Time Warner's Investment Day, which makes the show's full-season pick-up sound like a foregone conclusion. In particular, they praised star Anthony Hopkins in the same breath as discussing the new stars of True Detective's second season, Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. The show is described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin." [Deadline]
The Illusionist
