Have you ever gotten the strange feeling that your dog is trying on your wife's dresses when you are out? Then it's time to score proof with the Pet's Eye View Camera. A 640 x 480 resolution camera that hooks easily to a pet's collar, the $48 USB-compatible Pet's Eye View will snap shots at 1, 5 or 15 minute intervals for your perusal when you return. Chances are, your dog is just drinking copious amounts of liquid from the toilet and barking at the door all day. As for who left the weird hairs in your wife's clothing—we definitely wouldn't know a thing about that. [Product via ShinyShiny]

Too bad it doesn't have the ability to use [www.eye.fi]
It would be fun to see real time what my dogs are doing without rigging my whole house with cameras
Marry this to a crotch hound, and you can start your own website.
If this is like most webcams, movements will have a good deal of lag to them. Which renders this useless for my pit bull. And when she isn't franticly running around she buries her head in the couch cushions, which would also render this camera useless.
@thechansen: OK, I hate to reinforce the stereo-type, but: When Animals Attack doesn't care if there's lag in the video of your pit bull attacking a 80 year old lady.
@thechansen: nevermind its a still camera on an intervalmeter. I have 2 nikon point & shoots that I have setup to do the same, but from a birds eye view.
Brian: I, uh, I thought I smelled...cookies (walks away)
Mort: Wow really? OH GOD IT FARTED AND WENT DOWN MY THROAT!!"
Hmmm, looks like this would be too big for a cat? Also, the 35 picture limit is way too small imo.
It's not the dresses I'm worried about.
This is only the first step in a MySpace for pets. By next year, 50 million dogs will have their own pages, pics, and friends.
Attaches to the collar? So that'll last until your dog decides to go get a drink of water and ends up dunking the whole thing in their water bowl.
some dogs actually go outside! by themselves!
So when Fido nudges his way into a room where someone is changing their clothes, it might take a picture? I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Ruh-ro.
When someone come up with a camera that can be fitted to a teen-aged kid without their knowledge sales will go off the charts...
I tried this once using a webcam in the living room to watch my dog. She pretty much goes through the same routine: sleep, drink water, bark at door, lick crotch, sleep, repeat.
PSA: Walk your dog everyday.
@ russdanger
I just want someone to let me access the damn GPS in there phone. I don't want to see what there doing (my imagination is bad enough), I just want to know where to find them!
Giz - why are you still running "Scarlet" Ads that expired a week ago?
@jjlrn1: Disney seemed to miss the market when they marketed that idea for young children. I think if you added the ability to engage the phones mic, it would help. Even better, you control the speaker phone!
@frigg: Dogster.com
There's this guy in Germany who made his own from one of those crappy keychain digicams. Whoa...I haven't looked at his site for a while and it seems he's adding a cat GPS logger. [www.mr-lee-catcam.de]
I'm guessing you'll just get 35 photos of your dog licking its nuts.
I mean seriously who wouldn't lick their own nuts all day.
