There are any number of Andor props that Star Wars fans might like to own, and unfortunately Heritage Auctions’ upcoming May the Fourth sale doesn’t have too many to choose from. However, imagine having a stack of Imperial Credits—appropriated by Rebels during season one’s Aldhani payroll robbery storyline—casually on display in your home. Don’t forget to use Cassian Andor’s nom de heist, “Clem,” while explaining how you came in possession of this sought-after piece of memorabilia.
According to Heritage Auctions, these Imperial Credits were among those used in the season one episode “The Eye.” They are “constructed from cast resin with black and gold-color painted finish, with the Imperial crest embossed to the front. Multiples of these stacks populated the imperial canisters which Andor’s team were targeting during the heist. Exhibiting production wear including minor color loss to some corners and edges, and light handling wear and blemishes to the surface. The backside and underside of the credits stack are blank as produced.”
There’s no word if this particular stack was involved in the crushing of the idealistic, manifesto-penning Keris Nemik, but you can learn from his tragic death and make sure you have them carefully secured during takeoff. As of publication, the credits are currently going for $1,050, but the bidding has almost a month to go, so expect that price to increase.
Other Andor items in the Star Wars Day auction (all are from season one) include a pair of “Ferrix Docker” gloves seen in the home of Maarva Andor, Cassian Andor’s adoptive mother; two items from the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex: a soldering device and a “zap rod“; and an “aquatic alien creature” that was “used as food for part of the set design of young Cassian Andor’s fishing village on his home planet, Kenari.”
