Leave it to the folks the Gorillapod folks to design a smartphone tripod worth taking notice of. The poorly named Joby GripTight Micro Stand is a sleek, versatile accessory for whatever smartphone you may have that folds down to nothing when not in use. Even if you're not a serious iPhone photog, this makes a great everyday stand with its options for both portrait and landscape orientations. [Amazon]

Seiki 55" 4K TV | $825

The 55" Sears-exclusive Seiki is $825 right now, with free in-store pickup. Their Black Friday ad heavily promotes this particular set with an $85o special price, so to see it for even less today makes us think it might be an error on their part. That said, grab it while you can, and avoid the Thanksgiving lines.

That tripod is cool, but wouldn't it just be more convenient to get the gorilla pod? It doesn't seem to attach to a regular tripod, like the regular griptight mount to the left in the series when you click and go to Amazon and it shows the different versions. Unless you buy all 3 just in case? Anyone have suggestions?

I have a Manfrotto with a ballhead. I've never considered using my phone for video or photos but this tripod speaks to me a little. To give it a try.
