The Robovie mR2 is a robot, sure, but it won't work unless you pop an iPod Touch into it, at which point you'll be able to control it either via the touchscreen or over Wi-Fi.

Of course, it can't do all that much. It can use "information gathered with the iPod by means of gestures," which is a fancy way of saying it'll give you info that would be easier to acquire if you just held your iPod in your hand rather than have a robot act as the middleman. It's not clear if its two webcam eyes can take pictures directly onto the iPod or not. But hey, it sure is cute. [Node via CrunchGear]
