31-year-old British actor Ben Whishaw has been cast as James Bond’s gadgetsmith Q in director Sam Mendes’ upcoming Bond flick Skyfall. Whishaw previously starred as Ariel in Julie Taymor’s The Tempest (right) and is the latest actor to take over the role as 007’s armorer. Whishaw follows John Cleese (who last played MI6’s quartermaster in 2002’s Die Another Day) and the late great Desmond Llewelyn (left).
