Robert Downey Jr. may be too busy saving the world as Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes to revisit the Wild West, but luckily another cinematic hero has stepped in to take up the fight in the upcoming Cowboy Versus Aliens. Nikki Finke is reporting that Daniel Craig has signed on the dotted line to star in Cowboys, the new Jon Favreau movie produced by Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg. He’ll play Zeke Jackson, lead cowboy facing off against extra-terrestrial rustlers in the comic adaptation scripted by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, due to shoot later this year, after original star Downey dropped out to shoot a sequel to Sherlock Holmes.
