Now, no one is suggesting that Gravity Falls toss out its energetic animation style in favor of a more anime-inspired one. But it’s fun to see cartoons redone in a different type of animation. Animator Mike Inel took a “what if” approach, reanimating part of one episode as anime.

Even if you’re not a fan of the style, it’s neat to see how the individual pieces of the animation come together.
