This neat timelapse shows the Russian scientific vessel Akademik Fedorov on its 201-day trip to Antarctica. 45,000 nautical miles of sea and ice may sound boring, but it looks like a lot of fun. They even built an entire plane!
The aircraft was stored in pieces inside the ship and they had to build it to replace the crew at the Russian research station Vostok, which is in the middle of Antarctica at the Pole of Cold, the point with he lowest temperature in the planet (-89.2 °C or −128.6 °F).
