Re/code reports that Yahoo is looking to build a YouTube competitor—and that the purple-Y company has already begun trying to woo YouTube stars with offers of ad revenue and video promotion that Google's video service can't match. [Re/code]
I'd jump ship. Easily. Just remove the ads at the beginning of the shows, throw in some unique content ala Netflix, and voila! I'm gone!
I've actually come to kind of loathe YouTube. I can't watch a 3 minute music video without watching a 30s ad spot first? No thanks.
Plus the whole, Copyright Content bots Fiasco....they could really woo over gamers.
