Snowboarding season is just about over, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop! As long as you don’t mind blistering heat and falls filling your mouth with hot, hot sand, that is.
The Sandviper is a board specially designed for surfing down sand dunes. Apparently, this sport is popular outside of Dubai, which makes me assume the board is crusted in diamonds and costs a few hundred thousand dollars. But hey, nothing’s to stop you from doing it here in the good old US of A. Just get an old beater board, find your local sand pits and go to town. Just be prepared to get that mouthful of sand I warned you about.
