The Syfy Channel might have conquered our solar system with shows such as The Expanse, but there are parts of the Earth that it hasn’t quite reached until now. Earlier this week the channel announced that they would be expanding into the Middle East and North Africa.

Syfy will be partnering with the Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) to bring their content to the Dubai-based distributor’s subscribers in the region, and will launch on July 8th with Dark Matter, Killjoys, and Face Off, as well as older shows such as Smallville, Eureka, and Sanctuary. The channel will also broadcast movies such as The Mummy and King Kong.

OSN’s chief content officer Emad Morcos, noted that “Science fiction enjoys great popularity in the region, especially among youth.” The programs will be subtitled in Arabic.
