This is great. It’s a five-minute guide to the craft of beer brewing, led by Charlie “The Pope of Foam” Bamforth. It’s beyond charming – not to mention wonderfully informative.

So who this “Pope of Foam”? Why should you listen to him? Bamforth is the head of Malting and Brewing Science at UC Davis (a real-life brewery and degree program), which is really the only beer-brewing credential you need, as far as we’re concerned. But in case you have any lingering doubts as to why you should watch this video, you should know that one of the things il Papa addresses is why bird poop makes for a more aromatic Belgian brew.

Yeah. You want to watch now, don’t you?
