About Bingers: TV & Movie Tracker

Bingers is a TV and movie tracking app designed for people who like keeping a record of what they watch and discussing it with other fans. You can add shows and movies you've already watched, build a list of things you want to see, follow friends, and receive notifications when new episodes or movies become available. The app also covers anime, giving you a way to keep different types of entertainment in the same library.

The app comes from Antonio Pinto, one of the original founders of TV Time. After TV Time shut down in 2026, Pinto created Bingers as a new home for fans of the earlier service, rebuilding many of its popular tracking and community features while changing its underlying technology. Bingers is available on Android and iPhone/iPad, with a web version for managing your account and importing data. Unlike a streaming service, Bingers doesn't let you watch movies or TV shows directly. Instead, it helps you organize your viewing life and interact with other people who are watching the same things.

Why Should I Download Bingers?

Bingers is useful if you regularly lose track of which episode you're on or have a growing list of movies and shows you want to watch. You can track your viewing progress, add upcoming titles, and receive alerts when new episodes or movies become available. This makes it easier to keep an eye on several shows without having to remember their individual release schedules.

Discovery is another major part of the app. Bingers provides personalized recommendations based on your viewing history, alongside trending shows and movies being watched by its wider community. You can also see what your friends are watching, giving you another way to find something new without relying entirely on algorithmic recommendations. The social features are particularly important. You can rate individual episodes and movies, read reviews and community comments, and see reactions from other fans. Bingers also lets users vote on favorite characters and emotions, so you can compare your opinions with those of other viewers.

Comments are designed to be spoiler-free, which is useful when you want to see what people think about a show without accidentally finding out what happens next. Bingers also includes statistics about your viewing habits. You can look back at your watch history, see how much time you've spent watching different types of content, and get a broader picture of your viewing habits. The app also supports profiles, lists, favorites, and a community feed, giving you plenty of ways to organize and share your interests.

Is Bingers Free?

Bingers is free to download and use. The current Android and iOS versions provide the core tracking, discovery, community, and statistics features without requiring a paid subscription.

It is important to remember that Bingers is a tracking and social app rather than a streaming service. You cannot use it to watch the movies or TV shows you add to your library. Instead, it helps you keep track of them and, where available, find information about where you can watch them.

What Operating Systems Are Compatible with Bingers?

Bingers is currently available for Android and iOS/iPadOS. The iOS version requires iOS 16.4 or later, while the iPad version is supported as well. The app can also be used on Apple Silicon Macs through Apple's compatibility support, although it is primarily designed as a mobile application.

The Android version is available for phones and tablets through Google Play. Bingers also has a web presence that lets users access account-related features, including importing and viewing data from other services.

What Are the Alternatives to Bingers?

Trakt is a long-running tracking platform for movies and TV shows that goes further than simply recording what you've watched. You can maintain watchlists, track viewing progress, build custom lists, explore recommendations, view calendars and statistics, and connect Trakt with supported streaming and media-center services. Its broader ecosystem makes it useful if you want detailed tracking across multiple devices and services.

Serializd is a social platform focused specifically on TV shows. It lets you track what you're watching, rate and review episodes and series, create lists, follow other users, and discuss shows with a community. Its episode-focused approach makes it particularly suited to people who enjoy sharing detailed opinions about individual episodes rather than simply marking an entire series as watched.

Letterboxd takes a similar social approach but focuses primarily on movies. You can log films, rate them, write reviews, create lists, follow other users, and explore what the wider community is watching. Its strong emphasis on film reviews and personal profiles makes it a natural alternative if your viewing habits lean more toward movies than television.
