Compared to other small VPNs, Speedify seems to stand out. The provider aims for much larger competitors with features like channel bonding, proprietary protocol, and Pair & Share. But is Speedify safe and good as it claims to be? We’ll see what lies beneath its shiny promises in this Speedify review.
No doubt, this provider has a lot going for it. On paper, we’re getting the ultimate security, impenetrable privacy, and ample speed for streaming and P2P. Moreover, Speedify’s apps span all desktop and mobile devices, making the VPN widely accessible. All this makes you think: Is Speedify legit, actually?
We’d say it’s legit, but it’s not perfect and definitely not one of our favorite VPNs. Still, you came here for a full, hands-on Speedify review for 2026 and we’ll give it to you. But first, let us highlight its pros and cons for those in a hurry.

Speedify VPN Pricing: How Much Does It Cost?
This Speedify review begins with its price, which, to us, is the most disappointing thing about it. Despite being a small service, which you’ll find out soon, Speedify costs a lot, being way out of the league of the most affordable VPNs.
Let’s look at its most affordable deal first.
This is a 3-year plan at a huge $4.99 per month or $180 every 3 years. Compare that to NordVPN’s 2-year Plus deal at $3.89 per month, which is far better, and notice how greedy this VPN is. The same situation is with the yearly plan at $7.49. In comparison, ExpressVPN, another solid pick, costs $3.49 per month.
Speedify offers more plans, such as those for families, that start at $7.50 per month for the 3-year variant and five users, and for teams, i.e., business plans. These plans aren’t numerous, and the cheapest is the annual one at $7.49 per month per user per month. The highest you can go is up to 10 users.
Interestingly, there are plans for routers capped at either 1 TB or 3 TB of data. This is monthly data, but the plans cost $300 and $450 yearly. Overall, we can say in this Speedify VPN review that it’s very expensive, and as you’ll see, not worth the extra money. There are a few good things about it mentioned below.

These few things are actually two. One is a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Speedify doesn’t impress you, get a refund in the first 30 days. The second thing is a free plan. We love it when the VPN offers a free plan.
This gives you a broad feeling of the VPN and how good it actually is. For example, Proton VPN, which has been reviewed by our team, also offers one, but with unlimited data. Speedify locks you to a measly 2 GB a month, insufficient even for basic online activities, such as browsing on your phone.
💳 Payment Methods
Do you still want to get Speedify? In that case, you’re looking at a few payment methods, including debit and credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo. We’re saddened to see the lack of crypto options. Luckily, NordVPN offers crypto-based payment vendors and costs way less, so it’s a worthy alternative.
Speedify Review: Ease of Use & Compatibility
How does Speedify work across supported platforms? We’d say fairly well. It won’t win any beauty competitions, and frankly, it looks quite confusing on mobile and desktop platforms. However, once you get the gist of it, the rest is easy, as mobile and desktop apps look identical. We noticed a few things, though.
For instance, when connecting to certain servers, we noticed occasional drops and slow-to-establish connections on Windows. This is rectified in both iOS and Android apps, which, at least for us, function a bit better. Though Speedify is far from being the best VPN for Android or any mobile device, for that matter.
Speedify’s features are easy to access in Settings, but because the apps look a bit bland, it’s hard to find some of them at first. In terms of compatibility, Speedify is rather unimpressive, with no support for some platforms we expected to see on the site. Instead, you get native applications for these devices:
- Windows, macOS, and Linux laptops and computers. Its Linux support is subpar because only Ubuntu and Raspberry Pi OS are supported.
- iOS and Android phones and tablets.
- OpenWrt routers, with x86_64 or aarch64 CPUs.
What about Fire TV or Apple TV? Nothing. Fire TV is supported through the Downloader app, which can be used to sideload the Android app. No native client, though. Apple TV and its tvOS aren’t supported natively either; quite disrespectful. What’s even more disrespectful is a low simultaneous connection limit.
You can protect only five devices at a time with Speedify. Again, think about the price and then look at NordVPN’s 10, ExpressVPN’s 14, and Surfshark’s unlimited connections. All of them are less expensive and provide way more.
Is Speedify Safe? Speedify Security Review
So far, this Speedify review hasn’t been the happiest fairytale, if fairytale at all. But having in mind Speedify’s security promises, we should be able to enjoy some nice features found in larger, more premium picks. Well, we must say we agree, but not entirely, as Speedify VPN still isn’t precisely what we expect.
🔒 Basic VPN Features
Is Speedify good for basic security? Yes. These core features offer sufficient substance to make each connection a confidential trip online. In our VPN definition article, we explained how most of these tools function. Now, we’ll briefly review them.
- Encryption. According to Speedify, it’s not mandatory, and you can even disable it. If you keep it on, as God wants you to, Speedify uses 256-bit GCM encryption with the ChaCha20 cipher, also seen in PIA, ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and others.
- DNS and IP Leak Protection. Both are optional, but we recommend keeping them on. Later in our Speedify review, you’ll see that both function well and protect you from data leaks. The same happens even when turning it off.
- DNS Services. You can pick from multiple DNS options, including Speedify’s own DNS. Several options are here, such as Quad9, CloudFlare, AdGuard, and OpenDNS. Some of them, like AdGuard DNS, can also block ads for added security. However, we mostly went with the Auto option and had no issues.
- Bypass. Split tunneling that lets you exclude some apps and domains from using a VPN. By default, it’s ON, but you can shut it down and customize it further.
- Internet Kill Switch. A rather basic feature for blocking internet access when the VPN unexpectedly stops working. NordVPN’s Advanced kill switch is better because it can prevent internet access unless you connect to a VPN.
🛡️ Advanced Security Features
VPN advancements are crucial. They keep the industry growing through the development of new technologies to better protect your privacy. NordVPN is the leading VPN, as stated in our review of it, but Speedify has a few unique tools as well.
➡️ Speedify Channel Bonding (Bonding Mode)
The bonding mode in Speedify determines how the provider will manage your connections. Bonding is referred to as combining multiple connections into one, which should speed up your connection for a better experience.
Speedify can bond WiFi, wired, and mobile connections for more stability and allocation of different resources to streaming or overall speed. If you select Enhance Streaming in the app, most of your connection speed will be focused on streaming, video calls, live streams, and so on. You can pick Speed as well.
This will push the limits of your connection speed regardless of what you do. The Redundant option operates at the fastest speed of one of the few internet connections while using the rest as a complement to stability. During our Speedify VPN review, we haven’t noticed any staggering results, to be perfectly honest.
Besides, you’re limited by your native internet speed, which Speedify can’t magically improve. However, it’s worth noting that when we used more distant servers, the speed boost could be felt. This feature is for unstable connections that need a bit of a kickstart. It’s not a magical VPN Accelerator as it appears to be.
➡️ Pair & Share
Pair & Share is a proprietary feature that lets you share your cellular connection with other Speedify users on the same network. It’s wireless sharing, so you have to pair the devices and ensure they’re within the same network for it to work.
Apart from simple sharing, it speeds up the connection for each user by combining connections from all paired devices. In practice, we discovered that the feature works well and resembles channel bonding from before, but with multiple devices instead. Pair & Share doesn’t offer additional security and privacy.
It’s more of a convenience-type feature than anything, similar to Meshnet in NordVPN. Albeit, the latter is better because it allows for IP routing and even unblocking region-locked sites, streaming services, and apps.
➡️ Multiple Security Protocols
So far, we haven’t touched on the protocols in this Speedify review. It offers a few protocols, such as UDP, HTTPS, TCP, and TCP Multiple. There’s no WireGuard. While UDP is faster than TCP, TCP Multiple is, according to Speedify, faster because it uses multiple parallel TCP sockets. Is Speedify legit with its claims?
Compared to TCP, which uses only one, TCP Multiple should be better for fast networks. We tested both TCP variants to see if Speedify’s claims are true. Much to our surprise, the speed difference was present, and TCP Multiple had slightly lower latency. Apart from WireGuard, Speedify lacks obfuscation.
That means it doesn’t mask your VPN use and is, therefore, not the best option for censored regions. If you need a VPN for Russia, China, Iran, or Turkey, better use NordVPN or even Surfshark. You can also consider Private Internet Access with Shadowsocks obfuscation that bypasses strict online censorship.
IP and DNS Leak Test: Is Speedify Good in 2026?
Having a leaky gut is as annoying as a leaky VPN. Luckily, Speedify doesn’t belong to this category because it offers IP and DNS leak protection. Connecting to a few servers and testing the provider multiple times yielded the same great results.
Using the IP Leak website showed only our VPN-given IP and DNS addresses, showcasing the absence of leaks. We used another site, DNS Leak Test, and we’ve concluded that Speedify does a wonderful job of preventing data from slipping through the cracks. In fact, there are no cracks to speak of here.

Does Speedify Keep Logs?
We’ve established that Speedify VPN is safe, but without a no-log policy, that’s meaningless. When it comes to logging practices, Speedify isn’t the clearest. First, it’s based in the United States, the founding member of the 5 Eyes Alliance. This alliance is notorious for online surveillance and data collection.
This can be problematic in certain cases, but most of the time, it’s not. Private Internet Access is a nice example because it’s one of the safest providers you can use, with American roots. Speedify is the same in terms of not keeping any log of your visited websites, browsing history, downloads, and DNS requests.
However, while inspecting its no-log policy more closely, we found that the provider stores logs of your device ID, IP address, and the timestamp of the VPN connection beginning. The list eerily continues with the amount of used data and connection length, which is, for us, already a bit too much.
This data is used for troubleshooting, performance improvement, and service provision, but some of this data is unnecessary, at least in most VPNs. Your IP address shouldn’t be logged, for example. Speedify claims that data is anonymized, but that’s far-fetched because no third-party audits on the no-log policy exist.
To be clear, Speedify has a MASA security audit on its mobile VPN applications. This audit has confirmed that they meet the highest security standards. Sadly, no one confirmed its half-cooked no-logging claims, so it’s far from trustworthy. You’ll be better off using NordVPN with a direct no-log policy audit.
Speedify Speed Test Results: Is Speedify Good for Speed?
This VPN’s name is self-explanatory: Speedify, as in speeding up your connection. Obviously, that won’t be the case, but at least it should make the connection a slog. Let’s see if that’s the case by examining our non-VPN internet speed.
With that out of the way, we’ll explain how we performed our Speedify tests. We tested the provider for three days straight, three times a day, on three server locations. Since we were in Europe at the time, we used servers in the UK, the US, and Japan; close, far, and farther. Apart from the location, everything was the same.
The protocol selection was set to Auto, and we reverted the app to its default settings to let Speedify decide what to do. As you can see below, Speedify’s performance is more than respectable in our comprehensive tests.

All three locations showed great speed preservation, with slight bumps in latency. Speedify is by no means faster than NordVPN, but it’s close. Still, it’s pretty fast given its higher price, so this is the only moment where it’s justified to pay for it. Our real-world experience with Speedify was positive speed-wise.

While it lacks WireGuard, it actually doesn’t harm its performance since TCP Multiple does its job tremendously, even though it’s based on OpenVPN, a naturally slower protocol. For those interested in more knowledge, we compared OpenVPN to WireGuard and explained why the latter is usually superior.
Speedify Review: Server Locations
At the start of our comprehensive Speedify test, we clarified that this is a small VPN. How small, you might be wondering? We can only say very, and tell you that it has 37 countries and 55+ cities on the list. The exact number of servers is undisclosed.
Let’s mention another VPN, VyprVPN, which only has around 700 servers in 70+ locations. VyprVPN owns all of its servers. Speedify doesn’t. Even with rented servers, Speedify doesn’t cover enough locations to make it remotely competitive. You get most locations in the US, Europe, and other popular countries.
Indians abroad will dislike the inability to get an IP from their country. Speedify at least gives you a few dedicated IP servers, but caps them at 3 TB of data. We don’t see the reason for that, as NordVPN, ExpressVPN, PIA, and other better providers with dedicated IPs don’t put any restrictions, plus offer more locations.
Is Speedify Good for Streaming & Torrenting?
If you’re buying this VPN for streaming and torrenting, rethink your decision before it’s too late. Let’s start with streaming. It’s poor. The provider offers a so-called streaming boost with channel bonding to make things smoother and faster. We appreciate that with a big but. This but refers to unblocking prowess.
After testing Speedify on multiple occasions and with different settings, we couldn’t watch some of the content we wanted. Netflix US works, but everything else is disastrous. The provider can’t unblock BBC iPlayer or other Netflix libraries, resulting in a dead end and the need to use another VPN.
We recommend NordVPN because it’s the best VPN for Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Max, or pretty much any streaming platform you struggle to access overseas. Now, when it comes to torrenting, it’s a slog. Speedify has torrenting servers. In theory, they should do their job.
After connecting to a random server and trying to download Linux Mint, we received an error that P2P traffic was blocked on that server. We then had to connect specifically to a torrent-friendly server and do our thing. This is annoying if you want to download torrents and, say, watch live sports simultaneously.
The server location will be a limiting factor because P2P servers aren’t in every country. For us, the closest P2P server was in the Netherlands. But what if we wanted to watch NFL live streams while performing P2P file sharing? We’d have to use US servers, forcing us to wait for the download to finish first.
Bypassing Censorship: Does Speedify Work in China?
As obfuscation is missing from Speedify’s features, expect poor performance in China. In fact, you can expect no performance because it can’t connect. How do we know that? We confirmed it by testing it in this country multiple times.
Our testers in the Mainland reported discouraging results, often replacing Speedify with NordVPN or ExpressVPN because both offer obfuscation. Speedify isn’t catastrophic in other regions, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, you can face issues in Turkey and Russia.
These countries still use DPI and block VPN connections because of their strong censorship. In such countries, and all else with similar practices, using Speedify will be like shooting yourself in the foot. Surprisingly, you can’t even use this VPN to unblock porn sites in Texas. Patch yourself up with NordVPN and enjoy.
Customer Support
Before we conclude our review of Speedify VPN, let’s address its customer support. You’ll find the live chat widget on the site, where you can leave your question and info and wait for a response. The problem is that the provider won’t answer right away, so it’s not live chat. You’ll have to wait for an hour or two.
Another method of contact is through email, which can be found on the website. Speedify lets you book a call if you want, but we think that’s a bit of an overstretch because it’s for business users. Speedify isn’t problem-ridden, implying you won’t need to get in touch that often and fix complex issues.
Besides, all issues can be resolved by not contacting it. Instead, you can rely on its customer support page filed with helpful articles and how-to guides. With a helpful search bar up top, you can type in your issue and find a quick solution.
Speedify Review 2026: Final Verdict
So, is Speedify safe, good, and legit? We can’t say yes for all three, but it’s not a bad VPN. It does have its qualities, like really impressive speeds, innovative security features, and solid customer support. However, the main issue during our Speedify review was the price, which brings into question other VPNs.
If you pick its three-year plans, Speedify costs about five dollars per month; that’s the lowest possible price. Simultaneously, you can get NordVPN (a better no-log VPN) for three dollars for two years. ExpressVPN, another superior option, costs only $2.44, while Surfshark costs only $1.99 per month for two years.
You get the point. Speedify costs a lot but provides very little substance. That said, we can conclude this Speedify review for 2026 by saying it’s not worth your money and it’s not even worth your time in the free, extremely limited plan. Pick NordVPN, ExpressVPN, or Private Internet Access as perfect alternatives.
