How to Unblock XVideos With a VPN

1. Subscribe to a VPN, such as NordVPN, and download it to your device.
2. Connect to a server in a place without age-check rules, such as Colorado.
3. Open XVideos in a private browser window and play a video.

XVideos reads your IP address to decide which version of the site to show. When I connected to Denver, XVideos treated me as a Colorado visitor and played videos normally. If your internet provider blocks the site, the VPN’s own DNS servers take over, so that block list no longer applies.

With your traffic encrypted, your internet provider can’t see which videos you watch. It also can’t single out video traffic for slowdowns, a practice known as ISP throttling.

What Happened to XVideos?

XVideos changed country by country through 2025 and 2026. The UK’s Online Safety Act required porn sites to verify ages from July 2025, and France’s regulator sent XVideos a formal notice the following month.

In Florida, the attorney general sued XVideos’ operator in August 2025, and the case reportedly ended in a 2026 settlement that brought age checks for Florida users. In each of those places, XVideos uses AgeGO, a verification company, and our tests showed its check on UK, French, and Florida servers:

More changes are likely. In March 2026, the European Commission found, provisionally, that a click confirming you’re over 18 isn’t enough under EU rules, and it named XVideos among four sites.

Where XVideos Is Blocked

Some countries block XVideos completely instead of requiring age checks:

• India: internet providers block it under a 2018 government order covering hundreds of adult sites.
• Malaysia: the major internet providers block it at the DNS level.
• Turkey and South Korea: blocked under national rules on adult content.
• Philippines: blocked by some internet providers.

Researchers at Georgetown and Northeastern universities tested thousands of free open proxies and found many altering the pages they relayed. They found injected ads, crypto-mining scripts, and malicious downloads, and a small share even intercepted encrypted connections.

Age Checks and Your Privacy

Age checks protect minors, but they also create records about adults. In 2025, researchers at AI Forensics found that AgeGO’s checker on XVideos and XNXX in France sent the link to the exact video a visitor wanted to watch to its servers.  It also sent selfie video to Amazon’s cloud and required an email address after verification.

AgeGO stopped collecting video links after the report, and no AgeGO data breach has been reported. For adults, the trade-off is simple.  A completed check links your face, card, or email address to an adult site visit, stored by a company you didn’t choose.

The same debate is playing out in US states, such as Texas, where adult sites must verify every visitor.

Is It Legal to Use a VPN for XVideos?
