How to Unblock RedTube in Australia: 2026 Guide

Load RedTube from an Australian internet connection, and the homepage is gone. In its place is a short notice saying RedTube isn’t accepting new account registrations in your region, with no videos and no login button.

Aylo, the company behind RedTube, withdrew the site from Australia in March 2026 instead of adding the age checks the country’s new online safety codes require. Next door in New Zealand, though, RedTube works normally, and adults in Australia can watch it through a VPN server there. Here’s the four-step setup.

How to Watch RedTube on a New Zealand Server

Connect to a New Zealand server, and RedTube works normally, with the Sign Up and Login buttons back in its menu. In my tests, RedTube worked on the Auckland servers of NordVPN, Proton VPN, and ExpressVPN. First, create a NordVPN account and download the app for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.

Then sign in, search for New Zealand in the server list, and connect. NordVPN offers 20+ servers in Auckland. With the VPN connected, visit RedTube in a new private window.

However, old cookies from Australian visits may keep the notice on screen, and a fresh private window starts without them.

Why Does RedTube Show a Notice in Australia?

RedTube shows a notice because Aylo withdrew the site from Australia. On March 6, 2026, the company blocked RedTube, YouPorn, and Tube8 for every Australian visitor. eSafety’s age-assurance codes for adult websites took effect on March 9. Specifically, they require porn sites to confirm a visitor’s age before showing explicit material, and Aylo said the approach doesn’t protect minors and creates privacy risks.

As expected, RedTube was blocked on a Sydney server in our tests. By contrast, other large adult sites operate in Australia with age checks, as our guide to watching porn in Australia explains. Pornhub, however, remained available in a safe-for-work form.

In October 2026 Aylo restored its standard version for adults whose iPhones confirm their age through Apple. Still, the announcement names Pornhub in Australia only, and no report shows RedTube returning.

Can You Log In to RedTube From Australia?

No, not from an Australian IP address. The notice page has no login button, and new registrations are closed for Australian visitors. On a New Zealand server, the Login and Sign Up buttons appear in the menu as usual. Either way, an account isn’t required to watch RedTube’s videos.

Still, an account ties your activity on the site to the email address you register with. For extra privacy, keep the VPN connected while signed in, use a unique password, and register with an email address that isn’t linked to your name.

RedTube Not Working? What the Screen Tells You

In short, RedTube’s response depends on where your IP address places you. Here’s what each screen means:

• An Aylo notice: Aylo restricts RedTube in Australia, France, and 25 US states, including Texas, Utah, and Florida. Connect to a country where RedTube operates normally.
• A login page with sign-up closed: in the UK, only accounts that verified their age before February 2, 2026, keep access.
• A government block page: authorities in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia block RedTube, as do some internet providers in India.
• The notice while a VPN is connected: the server is in a restricted country, or the browser saved your old location. Switch to New Zealand and clear cookies.
• Slow or stalling videos: the server is busy or far away. Try another Auckland server, or lower the video quality.

Is RedTube Free to Watch?

Yes, RedTube is free, and an account is optional. Like most free tube sites, it’s also funded by ads. Ad networks on adult sites have served malicious ads in the past, mostly on smaller sites. For that reason, ad blocking helps.

NordVPN’s Basic plan blocks ads and known malicious domains at the DNS level, and Proton VPN’s NetShield does the same on paid plans.

Are RedTube Proxy Sites Safe?

Usually not. Even the official site has been targeted. In February 2015, attackers planted malicious code on redtube.com that redirected visitors to an exploit kit, according to Malwarebytes. RedTube fixed it soon after. A web proxy that claims to show RedTube adds another unknown company or person to the connection.

As a result, it sees every page you request and can add its own ads or scripts. Similarly, copy sites that imitate RedTube pose the same risk, and search results for them often lead to spam pages on hijacked websites. Free VPNs of unknown origin can be just as risky, and Hola’s free version sends other users’ traffic through your connection.

Who the Online Safety Codes Penalize

Adults in Australia can legally watch porn, and the codes don’t target viewers. In fact, eSafety says adults keep the right to access lawful content. Instead, the duties, and civil penalties of up to A$49.5 million per breach, fall on websites.

At the same time, no Australian law bans VPNs, and no regulator has proposed a ban. A VPN doesn’t change Australian law, though, and explicit material remains restricted to adults.

3. ExpressVPN: Best for Built-In Password Storage

ExpressVPN’s Advanced plan adds ExpressVPN Keys, a password manager built into the app. As a result, a RedTube login and other passwords remain outside the browser’s saved list. Meanwhile, its Auckland server came in between NordVPN and Proton VPN for speed in our tests.

Lightway, ExpressVPN’s own protocol, and automatic obfuscation require no setup, and it uses RAM-only servers. Its no-logs policy has also passed a KPMG audit. Customization is limited, though, and those who want more settings may prefer NordVPN.
