Bitdefender VPN isn’t great for China and that’s okay, because it’s not worse than other, as many call them, “antivirus” VPNs. ExpressVPN used to be slightly more reliable before, but nowadays, users are reporting they manage to connect to a server due to obfuscation.
In our first-hand experience, ExpressVPN works in China, but there are occasional connection problems, slowdowns, and complete connection refusals. Open VPN TCP works properly for the most part, but Lightway can pose a problem. Also, not all servers work in China.
Before using the VPN, it’s good to get in touch with ExpressVPN’s team and let them advise you. Other countries aren’t problematic, and you’ll happily use ExpressVPN in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Turkey, and so on. The same, more or less, applies to Bitdefender VPN.
