Best VPN for RedTube in 2026: Where It Still Works

RedTube is a free tube site owned by Aylo, which also runs Pornhub. For years, it loaded the same way in most countries. Then age-check laws for adult sites spread, and Aylo closed its sites in many of the places that passed them. RedTube is now offline in 25 US states, France, and Australia.

The UK has closed new sign-ups, and several governments block it completely. So where does RedTube still work, and how do adults keep their visits private? We checked RedTube from six countries and tested three VPNs on it, and the answers, for those curious, follow.

Aylo blocks RedTube in 25 US states with adult-site age laws, including Texas, Utah, and Florida. Louisiana is the exception: Aylo sends visitors there to an age check through AllPassTrust and the state’s LA Wallet app. Outside the US, Aylo’s own decisions explain most of the table above.

It has kept RedTube unavailable in France since July 2025 and cut off Australia in March 2026, when YouPorn and Tube8 were blocked there too. New UK accounts stopped in February 2026, though existing members can still log in.

Instead of site-level checks, Aylo wants Apple, Google, and Microsoft to verify ages on the device. It has already let some age-confirmed iPhone users back into Pornhub.

How to Watch RedTube With a VPN

1. Get a VPN subscription, for example with NordVPN, and install the app on your phone or laptop.
2. Connect to a server in a country where RedTube works, such as the Netherlands or Canada.
3. Browse RedTube in private mode so your browser keeps no history of the visit.

RedTube decides what to show from your IP address. On Dutch, Canadian, German, and Italian servers, it treated us as a local visitor, and the site worked normally. A private window also helps. It stops old cookies from telling RedTube where you were before.

1. NordVPN: Best Overall VPN for RedTube

NordVPN recorded the fastest Amsterdam result in our tests, and RedTube worked on each of its servers we tried, from Amsterdam to Montreal. Threat Protection stops most pop-up ads and redirects on free tube sites, so a misclick is less likely to end in a malware download.

2. Proton VPN: Best for Privacy

Proton VPN is based in Switzerland, and independent auditors check its no-logs policy every year. Staying Private on RedTube

RedTube Proxy Sites Aren’t Private

RedTube has no official proxy or mirror. Sites promising “RedTube unblocked” are run by strangers. A web proxy loads every page for you, so its owner can see each video you watch and every login or search you type.  Some fake age-check pages also request card details and then sign victims up for recurring charges.

The same goes for lookalike versions of XNXX and other tube sites. Even the official site has had trouble. In February 2015, attackers planted code on RedTube’s front page that sent visitors to a malware kit, and RedTube fixed it the same evening.

Your Account Data Can Leak

In December 2025, hackers tried to extort Pornhub over stolen records of Premium members’ viewing activity, including email addresses and the videos they watched. Pornhub said the data dated from 2021 or earlier and that passwords and payment details weren’t exposed. RedTube wasn’t named in the incident, but it belongs to the same company.

VPN Laws and RedTube

Using a VPN is legal in the US, the UK, Canada, and the EU. Age-check laws place the duty on websites, and in July 2026, the UK government said it wouldn’t ban or age-gate VPNs. Utah tried to make adult sites treat VPN users as Utah visitors, but a federal court blocked that rule in September 2026.

Our overview of whether VPNs are legal covers other countries. Where porn itself is illegal, such as in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, or the UAE, a VPN doesn’t change the law. The UAE goes further, with penalties for crimes committed through a VPN.

Summary

RedTube still works normally across most of Europe and Canada, and in US states that have no age-check laws. Where Aylo has pulled it or closed sign-ups, a server in one of those places brings it back, with your connection encrypted on the way. One question decides the rest: Is adult content legal where you live?
