PureVPN records bandwidth totals and connection timestamps without exact times, and nothing else. Your address, your lookups, the VPN IP you were given, and what you did with it all stay uncollected.

Bypassing Censorship: NordVPN Beats PureVPN
NordVPN’s obfuscated servers strip the signatures a filtering system watches for, and over OpenVPN TCP they got our testers past the Great Firewall on nearly every attempt. The occasional failure was solved by changing location. PureVPN gets there too, eventually. Obfuscation isn’t exposed in the app.
You have to disable Automatic Protocol Selection, pick TCP or UDP, which drops you onto OpenVPN, and obfuscation becomes available. It then performs well, and our results were less consistent than NordVPN’s. Note also that quantum-resistant encryption stops working inside China.
